SCOTT AUCHENBACH<br />

DE, Jr., 6-0, 250; <strong>College</strong>ville, Pa.<br />

2007: Auchenbach lettered as a back-up defensive end. He collected<br />

a pair of tackles for loss and broke up a pass in the win at<br />

Utica. In his first appearance of the season, Auchenbach made two<br />

tackles (one for loss) against #6 St. John Fisher. 2006: Auchenbach<br />

played on Ithaca’s junior varsity team as a freshman. He was<br />

named the Bombers’ Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week<br />

following the victory at Norwich. He was named to the Empire<br />

8 Presidents’ List following the spring semester. High School: A 2006 graduate of<br />

Spring-Ford High School, Auchenbach was coached by Gary Rhodenbaugh. He was a<br />

three-time all-league selection on defense and a two-time pick as an offensive lineman.<br />

Personal: A sport management major, he is the son of Dale and Pam Auchenbach. He<br />

was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List following the spring semester.<br />

TYLER BAKER<br />

LB, Jr., 5-11, 206; Milford, Conn.<br />

2007: Baker stepped into the starting line-up midway through<br />

the season and led the team’s linebackers in pass break-ups. His<br />

12 tackles for loss were third among Ithaca’s linebackers. Baker<br />

was named the team’s Hustler of the Week following the win at<br />

Springfield; he made six tackles in that game, including a season-best<br />

three solo stops. He recorded career-best totals of eight<br />

tackles and four tackles for loss in the Homecoming win over<br />

Norwich. Baker collected six tackles and two pass break-ups in the win over #19 Alfred<br />

and finished with three tackles for loss in the Cortaca Jug victory. He recovered a Red<br />

Dragon fumble inside the Ithaca five-yard line in that win. 2006: Baker spent his freshman<br />

season with the Bomber junior varsity team. He was named Ithaca’s Defensive<br />

Scout Team Player of the Week following the St. John Fisher game. High School: A 2006 graduate of Notre<br />

Dame, Baker was coached by Jeff Bevlio. A three-year letter winner, he was a two-year team captain and earned<br />

all-state honors as a senior and all-area recognition as a junior and senior. Personal: A business-finance major,<br />

he is the son of Barry and Meg Baker.<br />

LANCE BAUMGARTNER<br />

FB, So., 5-10, 195; Hamburg, N.J.<br />

2007: A back-up fullback and special teams stalwart, Baumgartner was one of seven<br />

Ithaca freshmen to letter. He was named the team’s Offensive Scout Team Player of the<br />

Week after consecutive wins at Utica and Springfield. Baumgartner made five tackles in<br />

kick coverage, including a pair of stops in the Cortaca Jug win. High School: A 2007<br />

graduate of Walkill Valley, Baumgartner was coached by Todd Van Orden. He was a<br />

two-year captain and a two-time all-state selection. Personal: A clinical science/physical<br />

therapy major, he is the son of Bob and Sue Baumgartner. His uncle is Olympic wrestling<br />

champion Bruce Baumgartner.<br />
