DOUG FRASER<br />
DE, Sr., 6-0, 240; Norwalk, Conn.<br />
2007: Fraser was moved to the defensive line and was a back-up end in his second season<br />
with the varsity. 2006: Fraser was a reserve linebacker. He was named the team’s<br />
Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week after the victory at Brockport. 2005: Fraser<br />
played with the Bomber junior varsity team. He was named Ithaca’s Defensive Scout<br />
Team Player of the Week following the win over Alfred. High School: A 2005 graduate<br />
of Brien McMahon High School, Fraser was coached by Rob Trifone. He was an all-area<br />
and all-conference selection. Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of<br />
Douglas and Arlene Fraser.<br />
BEN GARVEY<br />
OG/C, Sr., 6-0, 264; East Aurora<br />
2007: Garvey lettered after playing in five games on the offensive<br />
line as a back-up guard. He was named to the Empire 8<br />
Presidents’ List following the fall semester. 2006: Garvey was<br />
a back-up offensive lineman. He was named Ithaca’s Offensive<br />
Scout Team Player of the Week following the victory at Brockport.<br />
2005: Garvey played with Ithaca’s junior varsity team.<br />
High School: A 2005 graduate of East Aurora High School,<br />
Garvey was coached by Tim Wade and Jim Fleischman. He was an all-division choice<br />
and team captain as a senior. Personal: A history major, he is the son of Matt and<br />
Theresa Garvey.<br />
JOE GOETZ<br />
DE, Jr., 6-2, 260; New Hyde Park<br />
2007: Goetz started all 11 games and led Ithaca’s defensive linemen<br />
in tackles for loss (16) and sacks (four). He collected careerbest<br />
totals of six tackles and three tackles for loss, along with<br />
a fumble recovery, against #6 St. John Fisher. Goetz topped his<br />
career-high a week later, notching seven tackles (two for loss) in<br />
the win over Brockport. Three of his five tackles in the Homecoming<br />
victory over Norwich were behind the line of scrimmage.<br />
He finished the season with back-to-back six-tackle efforts in the Cortaca Jug win and<br />
against #1 Mount Union in the NCAA playoffs. 2006: Goetz played in eight games and<br />
started the last six at defensive end. He made his first career start in the win at Brockport<br />
and recorded season-best totals of four tackles and two tackles for loss. In his collegiate<br />
debut, Goetz made two solo tackles in the Buffalo State win. He made picked up three tackles, including<br />
two solo stops, in the Cortaca Jug game. High School: A 2006 graduate of New Hyde Park Memorial High<br />
School, Goetz was coached by Kevin Dolan. Goetz was an all-county selection, team captain and team MVP.<br />
He was picked to play in the Long Island All-Star Empire Challenge and the Long Island High School All-Star<br />
Game. Goetz was also the state wrestling runner-up in the heavyweight division as a senior. Personal: A health<br />
education major, he is the son of Peter and Mary Ann Goetz. He is a two-year letter winner as a heavyweight<br />
with Ithaca’s wrestling team.<br />
