Oneonta, N.Y. —The #24 Bombers scored on their first four<br />
possessions before the host Hartwick Hawks rallied for a 32-30<br />
win. Ithaca scored a fourth-quarter touchdown/extra point to<br />
pull within two points with 3:12 left but the Hawks ran out<br />
the clock.<br />
Junior quarterback Dan Juvan threw for two touchdowns<br />
and ran for another. His four-yard touchdown run in the fourth<br />
quarter capped a 15-play, 69-yard drive on Ithaca’s final possession.<br />
He threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to junior wideout<br />
Kyle Crandall in the first quarter and a six-yard pass to senior<br />
fullback Dan Ross in the second. Crandall’s touchdown was<br />
the first of his career. Juvan threw for 247 yards, posting<br />
career-best totals of 27 completions and 37 attempts.<br />
Senior running back Jamie Donovan ran for 117 yards<br />
and scored Ithaca’s first touchdown on a four-yard run to<br />
cap the Bombers’ opening drive. Donovan raised his career<br />
total to 3,048 yards, becoming the second Bomber to eclipse<br />
3,000 yards.<br />
Senior wide receiver Patrick Heenehan and junior tight<br />
end Brian Weverbergh both posted career-best totals of six<br />
catches to lead the team. Senior wide receiver Brian Hogan<br />
caught five passes. Senior running back Alex Baez ran for 29<br />
yards and moved into ninth on the program’s all-time rushing<br />
list, raising his career total to 1,957 yards.<br />
Senior strong safety Ryan Terlecki led Ithaca with nine<br />
tackles, including a pair for loss. Senior linebacker Billy<br />
Struzzi and Phil Byers recorded eight tackles apiece. Junior<br />
cornerback Jason Chier and senior linebacker Mike Nowak<br />
both added eight. Sophomore defensive ends Joe Goetz and<br />
Jordan Hyatt each recorded a sack; Hyatt’s was the first of<br />
his career.<br />
Freshman Dillon Dwyer kicked three extra points and added<br />
a career-long 36-yard field goal.<br />

<strong>ITHACA</strong>, N.Y. —The sixth-ranked St. John Fisher Cardinals<br />
scored 23 straight second-half points on their way to a 37-16<br />
win over Ithaca.<br />
Ithaca used a safety and a short touchdown drive to score<br />
nine quick fourth-quarter points but the Bombers were unable<br />
to convert an onside kick and the Cardinals remained in control.<br />
Junior quarterback Dan Juvan threw for 227 yards for<br />
the Bombers, completing 24 of a career-best 44 attempts. He<br />
threw a six-yard pass to junior tight end Brian Weverbergh<br />
in the first half and a 21-yard pass to senior wide receiver<br />
Brian Hogan in the fourth quarter. Hogan’s touchdown came<br />
two plays after Ithaca recorded a safety; senior strong safety<br />
Ryan Terlecki dropped St. John Fisher’s running back in<br />
the Cardinal end zone on a first-down play from the St. John<br />
Fisher one-yard line.<br />
Terlecki led Ithaca with a career-high 22 tackles and junior<br />
linebacker Matt Scalice added a career-best 19. Terlecki also<br />
forced a Cardinal fumble that sophomore defensive end Joe<br />
Goetz recovered. Goetz added three tackles for loss.<br />
