Storage22 StorageDue to the protection class of the colibri X5 it does not matter where youstore the device when it is shut off. It can be dry or damp, cold or warm, orbright or dark.44Follow these instructions for storage in damp surroundings:• Be sure that all device openings (e.g.: PCMCIA slot, connectors,battery compartment) have been closed with the associated caps orthat the exchangeable battery has been closed, and that the device isin the normal operating position (display facing up).Observe the following points when storing the device:• The fabric bag can be damaged by being constantly damp (mouldgrowth)!• The accessories (e.g.: power supply, additional battery, chargingstation) must be stored in dry surroundings with an ambienttemperature above freezing (> 0° Celsius)!• The best place to keep all the components is in the system case (seesection 4, System Case).• With lengthy storage times it is recommended to give the Li-Ionbatteries a charge/discharge cycle (second charge only to 50%) every6 months.microport colibri X5 99
