Precinct 4: West <strong>Devonport</strong>, Coles Beach,Don Reserve - north of Steele St.Description.All land area south of Bass Strait, West of Percy Street and Lovett Street, North ofthe Bass Highway and East of the Don River, Don Road/ Bass Highwayintersection and Jiloa Way.Arbour Zones 3, 9, 8, and 15. (for internal use only)The Don Reserve and Coles Beach are significant features of this area andneed to be retained and protected for both their cultural and their heritagesignificance. The land in this precinct is quite hilly and provides several vantagepoints which over-look the <strong>City</strong> and surrounding areas. It contains one of ourmost popular beaches, Coles Beach, and contains some of the mostenvironmentally significant vegetation within the municipality and the region.Significant trees in the Don Reserve include Eucalyptus ovata – Swamp Gumand Eucalyptus viminalis – Manna Gum.
