Large-scale seminars are also held by EMB each year to facilitatethe exchange of views among school liaison officers, the parties concerned andschool disciplinary teachers in an endeavour to explore ways of handlingbehavioural problems of students. Furthermore, the “Smart Teen ChallengeProject” jointly organized by EMB and the Police has been in place since 2000to provide the youth with disciplinary training, as well as to help them perceivethe adverse impact of criminal behaviour.The Police3.19 As far as educational and promotional efforts are concerned, eachpolice division will organize youth activities suited to its local circumstances,while the divisional commanders will also deploy resources for organizingactivities tailored for the youth of their respective regions. As regardsenforcement actions, the divisional commanders will collect information onjuvenile delinquency among school students through the relevant school liaisonofficers, so as to work out specific solutions for the identified problems. Thedistrict anti-triad squads will also step up the patrol of black spots of triadactivities with reference to the level of triad disturbance.
