In addition to the mainpublicity strategy, individual DFCCs also adopted special themes targeting thecrime characteristics of the district. Some DFCCs also conducted studies andsurveys on local crime problems.9.7 Campaign activities undertaken by DFCCs in the report period tooka variety of forms, including exhibitions, talks, seminars, variety shows,carnivals and various award schemes, contests/competitions, publication of fightcrime newsletters and distribution of fight crime publicity items. Visits toPolice command and control centres, Police stations, Correctional Servicesinstitutions, drug addiction treatment centres were also organised.LINK BETWEEN FCC AND DFCCs9.8 The FCC received and considered regular progress reports on thework of DFCCs. It also provided advice to DFCCs on their work. A briefreport of the matters discussed in FCC meetings was also prepared after eachmeeting and circulated to DFCCs for information. In addition, FCC membersattended DFCC meetings on a roster basis and brought district concerns back toFCC meetings for discussion.
