strengthened liaison with the Police in the case referral process, and willcontinue to explore the possibility of sharing further case details among partiesconcerned, having due regard to the need to address the concerns about privacy.The Police3.34 A Police Domestic Violence Database has been established sinceMarch 2005 on cases of domestic violence reported in the past two years.As SWD is considering the setting up of a similar database to monitor domesticviolence cases, the Police will examine the feasibility of linking up theirdatabase with the SWD database in due course.(f) publicity work on domestic violenceHWFB/SWD3.35 In order to step up publicity on the prevention of domestic violence,SWD has since 2002-03 launched territory-wide publicity campaigns todisseminate messages on the need to strengthen families and encourage familieswith violence risks to seek early assistance. SWD will continue its efforts onthis aspect.The Police3.36 The Police have actively participated in public forums andseminars to increase public awareness on the seriousness of domestic violence.They will continue to provide assistance to SWD and NGOs to distributepublicity materials on the subject of domestic violence to the public at policestations.Commercial and Technology Crimes(a) co-operation among the Police, EMB and the parent-teacher associationsEMB3.37 One of the goals of the new IT in Education Strategy issued byEMB in July 2004 is Promoting Community-wide Support and CommunityBuilding.
