The Police3.38 The Police have maintained close working relationship with EMBand PTAs in the promotion of cyber ethics for young persons and students,through the running of projects in collaboration with EMB, the PTAs as well asother stakeholders. A website for the promotion of cyber ethics has also beenlaunched by the Police.Cross-boundary and Quick Cash Crimes(a) publicity of crime prevention messages through the Police’s publicityprogrammesThe Police3.39 The Police will continue with their publicity measures in the formsof publicity campaigns and carnivals, posters and leaflets, vocal and visualbroadcasts at boundary-crossing points and on public transport, etc., to educatelocal residents as well as the tourists on the prevention of cross-boundary andquick cash crimes.(b) strengthening of communications with the administration and lawenforcement authorities in Guangdong and MacauThe Police3.40 The Police have maintained effective communications with lawenforcement authorities in Guangdong and Macau by means of regularintelligence exchanges and co-operation on individual crime investigations.There are also biennial forums attended by the Heads of Criminal Investigationof the three places with a view to strengthening police co-operation on differentcross-boundary criminal activities. Through close liaison with the lawenforcement authorities in Guangdong and Macau, the Police have attainedencouraging results in neutralizing vice establishments, arresting suspectedMainland prostitutes and core members of vice and bookmaking syndicates andthe seizure of significant amounts of suspected crime proceeds and betting slipsfor soccer gambling.Other Crime-related Issues(a) extension of closure period of vice establishments106
