ZOOTAXA65“PARALECTOTYPE Nicrophorus insularis (Grouvelle 1893) det. Sikes 1997”- female(Paris [MNHN]).DSS examined the holotype of N. insularis var. humeralis Pic in the Paris museum. Itwas a broken specimen, glued onto a card in pieces, the body was on a separate pin fromthe pieces.
