She has served onthe <strong>UCWLC</strong> Branch, Eparchialand National executives and committees.She was Eparchial presidentfrom 1984-87. She has attended8 Congresses. She wason the publication committee ofBlessed Endeavour, the Eparchial<strong>UCWLC</strong> history book. Angeline isa member of the Ukrainian CanadianWomen’s Committee and St.Joseph’s Home Auxiliary. She ison the Board of Directors ofMusée Ukraina Museum Inc., andsince 1987 has been chair of thefundraising committee. She isrecipient of the Ukrainian CanaofBandura and the Catholic Foundationof Manitoba and UkrainianSchools Council of Winnipeg.Awards include: the Holy FamilyNursing Home Plaque, 1989;the WFUWO Certificate of Merit,2002; and the Catholic Foundationof Manitoba “Caritas” Award, 1997.Evhenia ShermanYAROSLAVA (STASYNA)SHEREMETAwas bornMarch 3, 1934in Toronto. ShecompletedTeachers’ Collegethentaught in Toronto,NorthYork. Presently, she is an occasionalteacher in the York RegionCatholic Schools. She taught Ukrainianschool and teaches catechismat St. Volodymyr UkrainianCatholic Church, Thornhill.Her marriage to Wally, 1955,blessed them with 4 sons and 10grandchildren. Joining the <strong>UCWLC</strong>in 1954, she has served on localBranch, Eparchial and NationalExecutives as President, 1st and2nd Vice-president, Auditor, Secretary,Treasurer, Liaison to UCYand Monastic Orders, By-law Committee,Cultural-Educational Committee,and first subscription managerof the journalin 1970. She represented <strong>UCWLC</strong>to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress– Women’s Committee, WorldFederation of Ukrainian Women’sOrganizations (15 yrs.), World Congressof Free Ukrainians (10 yrs.).Active in Boy Scouts Parents’Committee, Treasurer for foundingcommittee of the Studite Monasteryin Orangeville, Yaro and Wally enteredthe Associates of Sisters Servantsof Mary Immaculate in 2002.For her work she received recognitionsas Honorary Member ofWFUWO, Certificate of Merit ofthe St. Sofia Religious Society ofUkrainian Catholics, Family of theYear by the Knights of Columbus,Sheptytsky Council 5079 in 2001.Yaro has made many wonderfulfriends and received many blessingswith her involvement in the <strong>UCWLC</strong>.
