Âiä íîâî¿ êðàéîâî¢ ãîëîâèFrom the newNational PresidentДорогі членкиніЛіґи Українських Католицьких Жінок Канади!ля мене сьогоднішній день є дуже зворушливим.Мої предки лишили Україну ще 1903Äроку — моя бабуся вже родилась поза Україною,а я вже сама маю 4 внучки і одного внучка.Тому Ваш вибір моєї особи з Ваших таких працьовитихта здібних рядів ЛУКЖК є дуже зворушливим.Для мене це велика честь, що Ви,дорогі мої Членкині, вибрали саме мене з-поміжчисленних, здібних та досвідчених членкинь.Я стала членкинею ЛУКЖК ще дуже молодоюі ніколи не думала і не снила, що одногодня доведеться стати головою моєї улюбленоїЖіночої Організації — Ліґи Українських КатолицькихЖінок Канади.Я старатимусь продовж цих трьох років співпрацюватиз Вами усіми. Я старатимусь виконуватимою працю якнайкраще і я вірю, що Ви всімені поможете у цьому спільному ділі. Коли будутьпроблеми, стараймось спільно у любовізнаходити розв’язки, щоб ніколи не було так,щоб наша праця у ЛУКЖК терпіла невдач. Миможемо зробити багато на добро нашої святоїЦеркви і часто ми, членкині ЛУКЖК, є останньоюпідпорою у наших парафіях та громадах.Ми можемо бути горді з тих, що перед намитворили цю Ліґу Жінок нашої Церкви і Народу.Ми мусимо також бути відважні сьогодні і свідомітого, що ми несемо на наших плечах великийобов’язок завтрашнього дня.Нехай на цій тяжкій дорозі нашої відповідальностіу Лізі Жіноцтва, де у нас є також обов’язкисупроти нашої родини, Вседобрий Господь намдопоможе!А наша Небесна Опікунка, Пречиста Діва Мати,нехай стоїть нам до помочі, робить нас здібнимислужити Богові та нашій святій УкраїнськійКатолицькій Церкві в Канаді.Дякую!Люба КовальчикDear beloved members of theUkrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada,Iwould like to thank the UCWLC Edmonton EparchyNominating committee for choosing me andentrusting me with the leadership of UCWL in Canada.I know that there are many more experiencedand capable ladies suited for this position. I thankyou for your trust and faith in me.Dear Members! We know well, that the task is not aneasy one. We carry a huge responsibility on our shouldersand we are committed and united to preserve the inheritedvalues of our mothers and fathers. Each one of usshould try our best and place our own UCWLC Branchon top of our priorities. With gratitude and prayer weremember those who worked before us in our League!Dear Members! It is our duty and our commitmentto safeguard the treasures of our faith, of ourvalues, of our culture and of our families and thatwas and is today the goal of our League. That wasand is the highlight of our efforts from sea to sea.As your president I would like to get to know eachone of you and all our hardworking ladies in ourUCWLC Branches. I would like to find out about yourachievements and your challenges. To me every Branchand every individual member is very important.Thank you very much for electing me and acceptingme as your President for the next threeyears. I promise you to do my best.With the help of our Theotokos, the Mother ofGod, and your support we will preserve and try tobring our UCWL in Canada closer to our daughters,granddaughters and daughters in-law.I am putting my trust in God and pray to ourHeavenly Mother for guidance.
