Figure 8 Module for editing the technical or meta data of a well5.5 Exporting data, results and graphs5.5.1 Data, resultsUse the Export buttons in the relevant section of the main window to export the data ofgroundwater levels and explanatory series. The export button in the ‘Models’ section exportsthe parameter values and other calibration statistics of the selected models. Via the exportbutton in the ‘Observation Wells’ section, also groundwater level statistics can be exported asdata (with meter as the unit, relative to the reference level) as well as in the form of graphs. Thedata is written to a file with the extension CSV. When you double click on the file in WindowsExplorer, it will open in Excel. Another option is to export data to a file with the extension TUF.This file can be used by TNO to import the data into the Dutch national groundwater databaseDINO.Attention:• To be able to re-import an exported .csv file it must first be converted to a .xls file.• The regional settings on your PC can affect the display of the .CSV file in Excel.Menyanthes, however, reads the correct list and decimal separator from the Windowsregistry. The date format with which the data are exported is ‘dd/mm’ or‘dd/mm/yyyy’.• Data in a TUF file is exported in cm in reference to the top of the well.Menyanthes Manual© KWR - 21 -
5.5.2 Graphs and figuresGraphs in Menyanthes may be exported to Word, PowerPoint or other programs as follows:Complete figures:The left button may be used to save the figure in several formats. The postscript format(*.eps) typically yields the best quality for vector based graphs. JPEG (*.jpg) yields agood quality for bitmap graphs. Using the button on the right, the figure may be copiedto the clipboard and pasted directly into a Word document or another Windowsapplication. The quality of graphs copied via the clipboard, however, is lower thanthose exported to a file.Individual graphs:Push the Copy & Export Graphs toggle button and:• Click on the graph that you want to export.• The graph is copied to a separate window. The menu of this window contains a numberof layout and export options (including the .emf (Windows metafile) format or the.bmp (uncompressed bitmap) format).Menyanthes Manual© KWR - 22 -
