A creatureburning in this way never takes morethan 2d6 points of fire damage in around, even if it has been hit by morethan one brimstone blast.CHARMLesser; 4thYou can beguile a creature within60 feet. The creature must succeed ona Will save or instantly come to regardyou as its comrade. This is a languagedependentability. Other than thesedifferences, this ability works as thecharm monster spell. You can never havemore than one target charmed at a timewith this ability. If a second creatureis charmed, you lose your hold on thefirst creature.CHILLING TENTACLESGreater; 5thThis invocation allows you to conjureforth a field of soul-chilling blacktentacles that ooze from the ground,groping for victims. This invocationfunctions identically to the Evard’sblack tentacles spell, except that eachcreature within the area of the invocationtakes 2d6 points of cold damageeach round. Creatures in the area takethis cold damage whether or not theyare grappled by the tentacles.CURSE OF DESPAIRLesser; 4thYou can use this invocation to bestowa curse upon a touched opponent (asbestow curse). Even if the save againstthis ability succeeds, the creaturetakes a –1 penalty on attack rolls for 1minute.DARKDISCORPORATIONDark; 8thOne with the powers of darkness,you learn to abandon your body. Whenyou use this ability, you becomes aswarm of Diminutive, batlike shadowsthat fills two 10-foot squares (or eightcontiguous 5-foot squares, shapeable asyou desire). The duration of this abilityis 24 hours.In this swarmlike form, you gain thefollowing characteristics and traits.—Abilities: Your Strength scoredrops to 1, but your Dexterity scoreincreases by 6.—Armor Class: You lose any naturalarmor or armor bonuses to ArmorClass. You gain a +4 size bonus to AC,and a deflection bonus to AC equal toyour Charisma modifier.—Movement: You gain a fly speedof 40 feet with perfect maneuverability.You can pass through openingsa Diminutive creature could passthrough.—Swarm Traits: You are not subjectto critical hits or flanking, and youare immune to weapon damage. Youcannot be tripped, grappled, or bullrushed, and you cannot grapple anopponent. You are immune to any spellor effect that targets a specific numberof creatures, except for mind-affectingspells and abilities. You take halfagain as much damage (+50%) fromspells or effects that affect an area.Unlike other swarms of Diminutivecreatures, you are not vulnerable towind effects. If reduced to 0 hit pointsor less, or rendered unconscious bynonlethal damage, you instantly returnto your normal form in a square of yourchoice that was formerly covered by theswarm.—Swarm Attack: You gain a swarmattack that deals 4d6 points of damageto any creature whose space you occupyat the end of your turn. Your swarmattack strikes as a magic weapon of youralignment.
