132 Chapter 9. Conclusion
developed set up for the measurement in Chap. 8 was designed by K. Kobayashi. The
author appreciates the contribution by J. Okabayashi, T. Yoshida, and Y. Ishikawa to
improve the set up. Prior to the construction, Y. Aiura (Electrotechnical Laboratory)
sent us valuable information on the low-temperature photoemission technique. The author
thanks S. Otsuka (University of Tokyo) for checking our drawing and for technical
support.
T. Konishi helped the author to develop the algorithm for the calculation of Yb
4f photoemission spectra with the Anderson impurity model at 0 K. The algorithm of
the Anderson impurity model at finite temperature was coded by R. Takayama and O.
Sakai (Tohoku University). A careful maintenance of the workstation and helpful advice
by K. Mamiya and J. Matsuno was indispensable for these numerical calculations. H.
Harima (Osaka University) sent unpublished results of the band-structure calculation
for YbB12 and LuB12.
The author has enjoyed discussion with S.-J. Oh (Seoul National University), K.
Ueda (University of Tokyo), T. Saso and K. Urasaki (Saitama University), T. Kasuya
(Tohoku University), T. Ekino (Hiroshima University), L. F. Mattheiss (Bell Laboratories),
H. Okamura (Kobe University), and H. Kumigashira (Tohoku University).
