S e ction 5:S&S ®Parts forTwin Cam 96 /103 2007-2012Parts forTwin Cam 88 ®1999-2006Super Stock ® IgnitionsSuper Stock Ignitions intended for S&S SH-Series, KN-Series and P-Series engines are setup for kick-start. This means that the ignition fires on the first engine revolution. SuperStock Ignition can be switched to the electric start mode using the optional Super StockDiagnostic Cable & Software part #55-1271. In electric start mode, the ignition does notfire until the third engine revolution. This allows the starter to get the engine turning beforeit fires to reduce the likelihood of the engine backfiring and damaging the starter or thestarter gears. Kick-starting a bike with the ignition set to the electric start mode is verydifficult and, aside from the opportunity for an aerobic workout, does not yield good results.1926-1984 Vintage ModelsParts forEvolution ®1984-1999Parts forSportster ® & Buell ®1986-2012Parts forVintage Engines1926-1984Parts forX-Wedge®2007-2012Parts forVictory®, Off-road& MetricRacingProductsPERFORMANCEPARTSFitment• Flathead Power® SH-Series• Flathead Power® KN-Series• Flathead Power® P-SeriesFeatures & Benefits• New updated modules can be set to kick-start or electric-start mode by an S&S dealerusing the Super Stock diagnostic cable and software• Electric-start mode allows the pre-ignition cranking to be set anywhere from 1 to 4engine revolutions (only available with current modules – earlier modules cannotbe updated)• Pre-programmed ignitions are custom tailored for a specific S&S engine – no needfor adjustments• Single fire operation – requires a single fire coil for single spark plug applications• Dual plugged applications require a pair of two tower coils or a single four tower coil• Minimum 3.0Ω primary resistance• Overload and short circuit protected• VOES switches to less aggressive curve under load or hard acceleration• 6300 rpm rev-limiter• 24-hour break-in rev-limiter – prevents damage during break-in• Data logging diagnostic capabilitiesEngineS&S® Super Stock® Ignition Module And KitsKitPart NumberModulePart NumberSH80 55-1350 55-1340SH93/P93 55-1351 55-1341SH93H/P93H/P74 55-1352 55-1342SH103 55-1353 55-1343KN93/KN74 106-3201 106-3200S&S® Super Stock® Ignition Kit Replacement PartsDescriptionPart No.Pick-up Cup and Mounting Screw 55-1247Connector Kit 55-1249 USA 1 TÜV 3,4Tools & ShopSuppliesDealer Services& Promo Items55-1269S&S billet generator style electronic timer fitsS&S and stock generator style cases and allowsthe use of S&S Super Stock or other late styleelectronic ignition systems.
