<strong>CH</strong>-<strong>TRAMPAC</strong> Document Rev. 2, May 2005One <strong>of</strong> two methods shall be used to calculate the total weight <strong>of</strong> the payload:• If the total payload gross weight is obtained by summing the weights <strong>of</strong> the individualpayload containers or dunnage, it shall include the square root <strong>of</strong> the sum <strong>of</strong> the squares<strong>of</strong> the individual measurement errors. If used, the weight <strong>of</strong> pallets, reinforcing plates,slip sheets, guide tubes, stretch wrap, adjustable slings, etc., shall be added to the sum <strong>of</strong>the weights <strong>of</strong> the individual payload containers.• If the total payload gross weight is obtained by weighing the payload as an assembly, themeasurement shall include the error.The weight and the measurement error shall be reported on the Payload Assembly TransportationCertification Document (PATCD) (see Section 6.2.2).2.3.2.2 Methods <strong>of</strong> Compliance and Verification for Center <strong>of</strong> GravityThe weight and measurement error <strong>of</strong> each payload container and <strong>of</strong> the total payload shall becalculated and reported on the PATCD (see Section 6.2.2), which requires the documentation <strong>of</strong>verification <strong>of</strong> compliance with the center <strong>of</strong> gravity requirements for TRUPACT-II payloads.No center <strong>of</strong> gravity requirements exist for HalfPACT payloads.2.3-3
