Culinary Skills – Chef Training
Cook, Bayview Retirement Residence, Belleville, Ontario
I took the Chef Training program to
sharpen my skills as a cook at the
Bayview Retirement Residence and to
open new doors of opportunity for me in
the future. I’m now much more confident
and adventurous with my cooking at work
- and the residents have really noticed
a difference!
When I look back at my year at
Loyalist, I still marvel at how smoothly it
went. I was working full time, going to
school full time and planning my wedding
that year. I thought I would be so stressed
out, but that simply was not the case.
Classes were hands-on and a lot of fun.
The teaching staff was very
accommodating and understanding about
my tight schedule.
I highly recommend the Chef Training
program. The course material is
interesting and fun and the teaching staff
truly wants you to succeed. I am very
happy with my Loyalist experience.
