The Career Centre provides a variety of services and resources that support students and alumni in their career exploration, planning, job search and career development. One-on-One Assistance: Individual assistance in career planning and the development of job search skills is available to all students and alumni. Personal Assessment Tools: Choices, Career Cruising and Career Explorer are on-line career self-assessment tools that allow students and alumni to explore career options that relate to their personality, skills, interests and values. Resource Library: Access a wide variety of job-search related materials, including resource guides, magazines, newspaper articles and free handouts. Job Postings: We post more than one hundred full-time, part-time and seasonal jobs on our on-line job board each month. Stop by The Career Centre to find out how you can access these postings. Opportunities to Meet Employers: The Career Centre welcomes employers on campus throughout the year. In September there is a part-time job fair and in February the Centre hosts the annual job fair. More than 100 employers attend this event to recruit full-time, part-time and summer staff. Workshops: Workshops are offered throughout the school year and are designed to provide assistance with various job search skills including resume and cover letter writing, successful interviewing, and networking. Earn your Career Development Certificate. The Career Centre offers a series of workshops designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge to plan your career and find your ideal job. Attend one of the Career Exploration Workshops and all three of the Employment Preparation Workshops to earn your certificate.
