“I work in an industrial setting which is<br />
perfect for learning all aspects of the<br />
electrical trade. I’m working with singlephase<br />
and three-phase power, PLCs and<br />
a wide variety of electrical equipment.<br />
The apprenticeship program in Alberta is<br />
four years of hands-on learning. As<br />
someone entering the electrical field,<br />
work experience at Lakeside Packers is<br />
extremely valuable. With this experience<br />
contractors and other companies will<br />
literally fight to have you on their staff.”<br />

“Kelly has been a great addition to my department. He has learned many<br />
of the control systems here and continues to learn more every day. The<br />
electrical background that he learned at <strong>Loyalist</strong> has benefited him a great<br />
deal. He knew how to troubleshoot schematics and wiring diagrams<br />
efficiently and can now basically repair almost anything we have here. He’s<br />
furthering his training by going through the apprenticeship program, working<br />
toward becoming a journeyman electrician. Kelly has a great work ethic.<br />
He’s a hard worker and a very intelligent electrician. With the apprenticeship<br />
training he’s completing now he will be an awesome electrician and a<br />
