POSTER ABSTRACTSP1007. POSTER SESSION IIA UBV Photometric Survey of the Kepler Field. M. E. Everett 1 , S. B. Howell 2 and K. Kinemuchi 2 , 1 NOAO (950N. Cherry Ave., Tucson, AZ 85719; everett@noao.edu), 2 NASA Ames.Abstract: We present first results from an opticalphotometric survey of the Kepler field in the JohnsonUBV filters. The primary goal of the survey is to producea catalog that identifies blue objects for spectroscopicfollow-up studies and inclusion as Kepler targets. We have used the NOAO Mosaic 1.1 CCD cameraat the WIYN 0.9m telescope to cover the field in aseries of 207 overlapping pointings. Each pointingwas observed using consecutive 40s exposures in Band V and 180s in U. Calibration is done by settingour magnitudes and colors according to the transformedKIC magnitudes of selected stars in each pointingand by minimizing any remaining differences insources observed in areas of image overlap. The UBVcolors reveal a rich set of blue sources that includeobjects such as hot subdwarfs and white dwarfs, planetarynebula nuclei, and cataclysmic variables.2102011 Kepler Science Conference - NASA Ames Research Center
