Such data are essential for asteroseismicstudies. However, the <strong>Kepler</strong> data do not provide informationon the stellar physical parameters, which arealso crucial for successful seismic modeling. Therefore,additional ground-based data are needed. We reportthe status of spectroscopic and photometric observationsof middle main sequence stars (spectral typesA-F) from the <strong>Kepler</strong> field. For a large sample of starsobserved by various instruments we obtained effectivetemperatures, surface gravities, projected rotational velocitiesand abundances of chemical elements.
