Here we present our large program ofDoppler follow-up conducted these 5 last years withthe high-precision spectrograph HARPS (3.6-m ESO)on the CoRoT transiting candidates. We discuss andpresent our observing strategy, the main difficultiesand limitations, as well as the obtained and on-goingresults. We also discuss the different diagnostics toreveal the impostors among the transiting exoplanetcandidates and we point out the high rate of false positivesrevealed by our Doppler follow-up.2011 Kepler Science Conference - NASA Ames Research Center 113
