Providing food to someone not participating in a meal plan is a violation of <strong>College</strong> policy.All resident students are required to participate in a meal plan as part of their residency. <strong>Student</strong>s in the Whitfield orHerring Apartments may choose between a 5-Meal, 10-Meal, 20-Meal, 130-Block, or 200 Block. <strong>Student</strong>s in theApartments may choose between a 10-Meal, 20-Meal, 130-Block, or 200-Block Meal plan. <strong>Student</strong>s in theResidence Halls MUST have the 20-Meal Plan or the 200-Block Meal Plan. Commuter students may purchase a 5-Meal Plan or any of the other meal plans listed.The 5-Meal, 10-Meal and 20-Meal Plans are on a weekly basis. The 130-Block and the 200-Block Plans entitle youto a fixed number of meals per semester. Additionally, with the 130– and 200-Block Plans, you may invite familyand friends to dine with you (up to 5 meals may be applied to your account per meal period).To be sure that students get the most use of their meal plans, they are encouraged to meet directly with the Directorof Food Services to express their nutritional needs, dietary concerns, and suggestions for menu items.Disability Services2.11The Teaching and Learning Center, located at 549 Michael Martin Drive in the Waylin Center, coordinates <strong>Mount</strong><strong>Olive</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s commitment to provide inclusive academic programs and reasonable accommodations for studentswith documented disabilities. Specifically, the office (1) offers pre-admissions information concerning services andaccommodations available to students, (2) facilitates program accommodations in accordance with provideddocumentation, (3) refers students to appropriate services, (4) offers opportunities for faculty/staff awareness, and(5) acts as a liaison between faculty and students with disabilities.A student with a disability who is requesting classroom, course, or campus accommodations must provide properdocumentation of the disability and meet with the Director of the TLC at the beginning of each semester to completeall paperwork. Please contact the Director of the TLC at 1-800-653-0854, ext. 1185, for further requirements andmore information.Health Services2.12Health Services is located in the Pope Wellness Center. Health Services is staffed by a health professional whoserves as Director of Health Services. He/She works with local physicians and/or the student’s insurance company’sdesignated physicians to provide general health care and consultation. <strong>College</strong> health services include triage andlimited treatment, administration of selected immunizations, consultation and referral services. Health/wellnesseducation is provided as well.1. Hospitalization 2.12.1Hospitalization or other medical services received off campus by resident students should be reported to the Directorof Health Services.2. Class Absences for Health Reasons 2.12.2A visit to Health Services is NOT considered an excused absence from class. It is the student’s responsibility toinform the professor of any absences due to illness and to adhere to the attendance policy of each class.3. Required Medical Form 2.12.3<strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Olive</strong> <strong>College</strong> requires that all students in the traditional program have a physical examination prior toattending the <strong>College</strong>. A medical history and physical examination form provided by the <strong>College</strong> must be completedby a health care provider of the student’s choice and be filed in the Health Services Office prior to enrollment.Failure to do so will result in a student not being permitted to utilize Health Services. <strong>Student</strong>s who are absent fromthe <strong>College</strong> for more than one academic semester are required to submit a new medical history and physicalexamination form.4.
