The earth conductor described above must be earthed at the electricaldistribution board, or, if power is supplied by a separate system, at the powersupply transformer motor / generator set.The wall sockets into which the cutter is plugged must be of the earthed type. The earth conductors serving said wall sockets must be properly connectedto earth.CAUTIONBefore plugging in the cutter's power cord to a power source, make sure thecutter is set to the correct operating voltage (100 V, 120 V, 220 V, or 240 VAC). See section 3.2.See Table 1-9 for the minimum and maximum operating voltage for the different voltage ratings. To check the operating voltage setting, locate the power entry module (shown in Figure 1-1) on thecutter's bottom panel. The power entry module shows four possible voltage settings (100 V, 120 V, 220V and 240 V). A pin next to one of the voltage settings indicates the voltage setting currently selected forthe cutter. If this setting does not match the voltage supplied to your site, you will have to change thevoltage setting prior to powering up the cutter. For information about the conversion of the cutter's operating voltage and the exact fuse ratings, seeSection 3.2.USA:EUROPE:THREE-PINOUTLETMAKE SURE THISIS CONNECTED TO AKNOWN EARTHMAKE SURE THIS ISCONNECTED TO AKNOWN EARTHTHREE-PINPLUGFIGURE 1-4:Notice
