LCvR40.1 Assignment <strong>of</strong> Cases for Trial.The placing <strong>of</strong> actions upon the trial calendar will be as announced at status andscheduling conference, unless trial setting is not required.LCvR43.1 List <strong>of</strong> Witnesses and Exhibits in Civil Cases.At the commencement <strong>of</strong> the trial <strong>of</strong> a civil case or any civil proceeding in whichwitnesses and exhibits are utilized, the attorneys shall submit to the judge, the courtroomdeputy, and the court reporter a typewritten list, on the form provided by the Clerk, <strong>of</strong> thewitnesses they expect to call in their case in chief and the exhibits they intend to introduce.LCvR47.1 Attorney Communication with Jurors.At no time, including after a case has been completed, may attorneys approach orspeak to jurors regarding the case unless authorized by the Court, upon written motion.VIII. JUDGMENT.LCvR54.1 Costs.A prevailing party who seeks to recover costs against an unsuccessful party pursuantto 28 U.S.C. § 1920 shall file a bill <strong>of</strong> costs on the form provided by the Clerk and supportthe same with a brief. The bill <strong>of</strong> costs and brief shall be filed not more than 14 days afterentry <strong>of</strong> judgment. Any request shall be a separate document from a motion for legal fees.The verified bill <strong>of</strong> costs shall have endorsed thereon pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> service upon theopposing party. The prevailing party shall provide either receipts, documents, or an affidavitin support <strong>of</strong> the requested itemized costs. Objections to the bill <strong>of</strong> costs, with supportingbrief, must be filed within 14 days from the date the bill <strong>of</strong> costs was filed. Afterconsideration <strong>of</strong> the bill <strong>of</strong> costs and any objections, the Clerk will make a disposition andruling on the bill <strong>of</strong> costs allowing or disallowing the items in whole or in part. If a bill <strong>of</strong>costs is properly and timely filed and no written objection thereto is filed within the timeherein specified, the claimed costs may be allowed in full.-21-
