UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THEWESTERN DISTRICT OF OKLAHOMALOCAL COURT RULESLOCAL CIVIL RULESANDLOCAL CRIMINAL RULESPREAMBLEAUTHORITY. These local rules of the United States District Court for the WesternDistrict of Oklahoma are promulgated under the authority of Title 28, United States Code,Section 2071; Rule 83 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; and Rule 57 of the FederalRules of Criminal Procedure. These local civil and criminal rules are promulgated tosupplement the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the Federal Rules of CriminalProcedure with local court procedure.UNIFORM NUMBERING. The Judicial Conference of the United States hasrequired uniform numbering for all local court rules in conformity with the Federal Rules.They require a “.1" designation be added to the number of the Federal Rule of Civil orCriminal Procedure to indicate that the federal rule is being supplemented by a local civil orcriminal court rule. For example, if Fed. R. Civ. P. 4 is being supplemented, the local civilrule is designated LCvR4.1; or if Fed. R. Crim.
