Installing Unicenter CA-QuickFetchIf you use Unicenter CA-PMO with Unicenter CA-QuickFetch,the Unicenter CA-PMO cross-system component willcommunicate zap updates detected by the UnicenterCA-QuickFetch AMASPZAP replacement program to UnicenterCA-QuickFetch address spaces running on other systems inyour complex.For more information about using LLA or Unicenter CA-PMO tomanage your library directories, see Using LLA to Manage YourLibrary Directories in the chapter “Tuning for Optimum SystemPerformance” in the Unicenter CA-QuickFetch SystemsProgrammer Guide.Step 5: Install the AMASPZAP Replacement Program (Optional)Unicenter CA-QuickFetch provides an AMASPZAP replacementprogram that communicates zap updates to UnicenterCA-QuickFetch. This program links to the IBM AMASPZAPprogram to perform the zap update, then reads the control cardsfrom the SYSIN ddname to determine which modules have beenupdated.The AMASPZAP replacement program communicates theupdates to all Unicenter CA-QuickFetch address spaces runningon the system. If you run the Unicenter CA-PMO product, itscross-system component will communicate the zap updates toUnicenter CA-QuickFetch address spaces on all systems in yourcomplex.When Unicenter CA-QuickFetch determines that a module hasbeen updated, it purges the old version of the module, andallows the new version to be loaded when it is needed.The fact that the Unicenter CA-QuickFetch AMASPZAPreplacement program is installed is invisible to users. Users thatperform zap updates should continue to execute theAMASPZAP program, since Unicenter CA-QuickFetch names itsversion of the program AMASPZAP and you rename the IBMversion.Installation 3–7
