Work processDuring Phase 3 the Working Group had neitherthe time nor the resources to perform a detailed gapanalysis of the individual clauses in ISO/DIS 19906.For Phase 4 the Group was joined by other experts, including a representative from SDag, who weregaining extensive experience applying ISO 19906 toa specific development project (Shtokman), and OGPrepresentatives, who had been involved with thedevelopment of ISO 19906.At the first group meeting in Phase 4 (24-25August 2010), Statoil and SDag volunteered toproduce the detailed gap analysis that was lacking.OGP provided the final draft of ISO 19906 that hadbeen sent to ISO in August 2010 for issue as ISO/FDIS 19906 for final vote. Each clause in both thenormative and informative parts of this “ready-for-FDIS” version of ISO 19906 was scrutinized forshortcomings, with the objective of working groupRN02 in mind. With respect to floating structures, and despite improvements from the ISO/DIS version,75 clauses were identified to have shortcomings orpotential for improvements of which some were verysimilar and could be considered together, resulting in58 topics to be further investigated. The gap analysis was distributed to the group inearly November 2010 and at the second meeting(7-8 December 2010) group members signed up tocontribute to selected topics and clauses by providingthe following for each contribution:1. Background information on why the Clauseshould be amended and, if relevant, referenceto research or publications that substantiate therecommended additions or changes2. Recommended text for the amendmentThe first official version of ISO 19906:2010(E) waspublished on 14 December 2010, with no significantReport no 2012-0690 21
