CommentaryIt is noted that the preliminary work programme ofISO TC67/SC8 has already identified 5-6 possiblework item proposals within the ice management area.It was initially recommended that the RN06deliverables should be considered for commentary/amendment to ISO 19906. This was later excludedfrom the RN06 scope as to avoid duplication withgroup RN02, which included ice managementassessment in relation to ISO19906 as part of theirwork.3.6. RN07 Operational Emissions andDischarges3.6.1. DeliverablesThe deliverable of RN07 will be a technical <strong>report</strong>containing a proposal for “Regional guidancedocument for regular emissions and discharges fromoffshore oil and gas activities in the Barents Seaincluding associated shipping”3.6.2. Recommendations for implementation ofdeliverablesIt is recommended that the Barents 2020 SteeringCommittee takes the following actions:1. Submit the RN07 <strong>report</strong> to the Russianstandardization committee TC 23 as basis fordevelopment of a GOST R standard within thisarea.2. Submit the RN07 <strong>report</strong> to the Norwegianstandardisation organization Standards Norwayas input to amendment of the NORSOKstandard S-003 “Environmentsl Care”.3. Submit the RN07 <strong>report</strong> to OGP (InternationalAssociation of Oil and Gas Producers) forinput to the OGP’s work with an ArcticEnvironmental Guideline.4. Mandate Task no. 3– AwarenessRN01 task no. 3 was given as: “Create awarenessamong the potential recipients (e.g. standardsorganisations) as to what is coming and acting as anintermediary as necessary and appropriate”.4.1.
