RN02: DESIGN OF FLOATING STRUCTURES IN ICE // PART 1 Introductionchanges from the “ready-for-FDIS” version used forthe gap analysis. Therefore the gap analysis is validfor ISO 19906:2010.The received texts for the Guidance Documentwere put together, with the necessary editing, by<strong>DNV</strong>, and a series of drafts and iterations werediscussed at meetings in March, May and September2011, and by e-mail exchanges. In addition, aworkshop with external participants was arrangedin connection with the September 2011 meeting, thetopic of which was limit states methodology for thedesign of stationary structures in ice as explained inISO 19906.1.5. DeliverablesThe deliverables from Working Group RN02 are:1. A Gap Analysis – between ISO 19906:2010 andthe most current learnings and knowledge in20102. Background information as clause-by-clausecomments to ISO 19906:2010, explaining thebackground for the suggested changes to ISO19906, which will accompany the GuidanceDocument when it is forwarded to ISO TC67/SC7 WG8 for their consideration in futureupdates of ISO 19906.3. An agreed Guidance Document that can be usedto supplement ISO 19906:2010, which will bea. Forwarded to Rosstandart and StandardNorway with the possibility to approveand adopt it as a National Annex inRussia and Norway until the standarditself is updated by ISO.b. Forwarded to ISO TC67/SC7 WG8 forinformation and for their considerationin connection with the first update ofISO19906.The gap analysis is found in Part 2 in this <strong>report</strong>; theBackground information is found in part 3; and theGuidance Document makes up Part 4.
