2. Assists in surgical operations.3. Confers with the attending physician on the examination, care, andtreatment of patients, and any substantial change in condition.4. Confers with relatives of patients concerning condition and treatment.5. Obtains and records medical histories, physical examinations, and progressnotes on all patients examined and treated.6. Makes rounds of the wards and reports on the condition and progress ofpatients.7. Exercises medical judgment in the proper diagnosis, care, and treatment ofpatients in Mercy Medical Center and the Family Practice Clinic.8. Makes recommendations to the Director of Family Practice Residency onpolicy matters.9. Explains the services available at Mercy Medical Center to members of thegeneral public,10. Orders and interprets laboratory examinations, analyses, and x-rays.11, Writes medication orders.12. Assists in the instruction and supervision of nurses, technicians, andpersonnel assigned for special training.13. Attends and participates in clinics and staff conferences on the discussion ofsurgical, medical, and mental conditions of various patients and theirdiagnoses and treatment.14.
