It has a fund that is open topeople resid<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Denmark who wish to present artists from poorer develop<strong>in</strong>g countries <strong>in</strong> Denmark.In addition, fund<strong>in</strong>g is available with support from Danish development assistance <strong>in</strong> specificcountries, e.g. Ghana, Vietnam and Palest<strong>in</strong>e, but these funds are adm<strong>in</strong>istered locally <strong>in</strong> eachcountry and are fairly limited.The Centre recommends that <strong>for</strong>eign embassies <strong>in</strong> Denmark and overseas organizers search <strong>for</strong>partnerships with local galleries, <strong>in</strong>stitutions, concert organizers, etc., who know the culturallandscape of the country. Projects will have to be agreed on with the Danish counterpart.For Afghanistan, Mali, Palest<strong>in</strong>e, Tanzania and Uganda, the Danish partner receives the project grantand distributes the resources to the local partners.For Mozambique and Nepal the grant is twofold: the Danish partner receives the grant from DCCD,and the local partner from the Danish embassy. The Danish and local partner follow, respectively, theguidel<strong>in</strong>es <strong>for</strong> evaluation and account<strong>in</strong>g laid down by DCCD and the embassy.For Vietnam, support is sought through the <strong>Cultural</strong> Development and Exchange Fund (CDEF).Regulations and application <strong>for</strong>m are available on the embassy homepage.Types of grant support<strong>Cultural</strong> exchanges, <strong>in</strong>tercultural programm<strong>in</strong>g.30
