Grant sizeThe maximum amount allotted to cultural projects differs from one year to the next. For 2010, themaximum amount <strong>for</strong> each project was €20,000 while the m<strong>in</strong>imum was €10,000.The f<strong>in</strong>ancial contribution will not exceed 60% of the total eligible costs of the activity <strong>for</strong> candidates ofEuropean countries and 70% <strong>for</strong> candidates from Mediterranean partner countries.Examples of projectsAmong the programs supported by the organization are the follow<strong>in</strong>g: FaNaNat aims to promote women’s creativity <strong>in</strong> Belgium, Tunisia, and Morocco. The STUBNITZ IN MED project aims to revitalize the <strong>in</strong>tercultural Euro-Mediterranean bybr<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g together cultural actors from the <strong>in</strong>dependent music scene to per<strong>for</strong>m <strong>in</strong>multidiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary festivals. ISTIKSHAF aims to establish an <strong>in</strong>teractive plat<strong>for</strong>m (real and virtual) to explore the questionof artistic mobility <strong>in</strong> the Mediterranean. Research-based Art/Art-based research aims to <strong>in</strong>itiate long-term cooperation between artistic<strong>in</strong>stitutions <strong>in</strong> Europe and the Middle East, by focus<strong>in</strong>g on the process of artistic research. Dance Refl-action aims to design an educational plat<strong>for</strong>m/<strong>for</strong>um <strong>for</strong> reflection and action <strong>in</strong> thefield of contemporary dance <strong>in</strong> the Euro-Mediterranean region, with a particular focus on theArab countries. The Book of Alef aims to <strong>in</strong>crease <strong>in</strong>tercultural learn<strong>in</strong>g through the promotion of the Arablanguage and culture.Application procedureApplications <strong>for</strong> fund<strong>in</strong>g must be submitted via the Internet when the offers are published withdeadl<strong>in</strong>es. Requests can be made electronically, us<strong>in</strong>g onl<strong>in</strong>e <strong>for</strong>ms available on the sitehttp://www.euromedalex.org/fr/ressources/programme-de-f<strong>in</strong>ancement, by registered mail or byprivate courier service. It is strongly recommended to use the onl<strong>in</strong>e application <strong>for</strong>ms.RestrictionsAny request sent to the email addresses of the foundation’s staff members will be rejectedimmediately.It is possible <strong>for</strong> the same organization to submit more than one application, but it cannot receivemore than one source of fund<strong>in</strong>g.35
