Grant sizeThe follow<strong>in</strong>g grants were awarded dur<strong>in</strong>g the period from January 1 through December 31, 2010:Total grants to <strong>in</strong>dividuals: $1,170,750Total grants to organizations: $332,000Total expenditures <strong>in</strong> 2010 were $4,800,000. Seventy-seven percent or $3,700,000 of this amountwent directly to program services. Program service expenditures have <strong>in</strong>creased over last year from$3,600,000 <strong>in</strong> 2009 to $3,700,000 <strong>in</strong> 2010.Examples of recent grantsThe ACC supported cultural exchanges <strong>for</strong> 106 artists, scholars, arts specialists, and organizationsfrom 11 different countries, such as:Alliance of Artists Communities Providence, Rhode Island : to support travel to Ch<strong>in</strong>a by senior staff from the Alliance and itsmember organization, Art Farm residency, <strong>in</strong> order to <strong>for</strong>ge connections with Ch<strong>in</strong>eseresidencies, art <strong>in</strong>stitutions, universities, and artistsAmerican Dance FestivalDurham, North Carol<strong>in</strong>a : to enable two choreographers from Ch<strong>in</strong>a to participate <strong>in</strong> theInternational Choreographers Residency Program at the American Dance Festival <strong>in</strong> summer2011Osage Art Foundation Hong Kong: to enable participation of artists, curators, and scholars from the Philipp<strong>in</strong>esApplication procedureApplication on l<strong>in</strong>eOrganizations from Hong Kong, Ch<strong>in</strong>a, Macau, Japan, Taiwan, or the Philipp<strong>in</strong>es should apply directlyto Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei, and Manila field offices.All applicants should submit a full and correct application be<strong>for</strong>e the deadl<strong>in</strong>e. Only one applicationper organization will be accepted.
