"Production Capacity""Production Facility"means either the electricity Generationcapacity of a Production Facility or the combinedor co-located electricity Generation capacity andthe water Desalination capacity of a ProductionFacility, as the context so requires;means installations used for theGeneration of electricity or the Generation ofelectricity combined or co-located with theDesalination of water in the same site, includingall associated Electric Lines, Electric Plant andWater Equipment;"Regulatory Accounting Guidelines" means guidelines issued by the Authorityfrom time to time in connection with thepreparation of regulatory accounts;"Regulated Activity""Related Water"means each of the activities listed inArticle (3) of the Sector Law;means Desalinated water in the Sultanateof Oman which is combined or co-located with theelectricity sector and which is regulated by theSector Law;"Rural Areas Electricity Company SAOC" means the Company of that namereferred to in Article (66) of the Sector Law;"Sector Law" has the meaning given to it in paragraph 1of Part I;"Separate Business""Supply""Supply Business""Supply Licence"“System”means each of the separate businesses ofthe Licensee identified as such from time to timeby notice of the Authority;means the supply of electricity to anyPremises;means the licensed business of theLicensee as Supplier of electricity to anyPremises;means a Licence to Supply electricity;means a Distribution System or aTransmission System, as the context requires;“The Authority” means the Authority for ElectricityRegulation, Oman, being the Authorityestablished pursuant to Article (19) of the SectorLaw;Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC Licence 1-May-2005 Page - 14 -
"Total System""Transfer Scheme""Transmission""Transmission Business"means the entire interconnected electricitySystems of Licensees in the Sultanate of Oman,including all Production Facilities and allDistribution Systems and Transmission Systems,as the same may be developed or modified fromtime to time and includes any such System whichinterconnects with any System which is outsidethe Sultanate of Oman;means the scheme which is to bedetermined, implemented and modified, asappropriate, by the Ministry of National Economyin accordance with the provisions of the SectorLaw;means the transport of electricity bymeans of a Transmission System;means the licensed business of theLicensee as owner and/or operator of theTransmission System;"Transmission Security Standard" means the standard or standards to whichthe Transmission System will be developed,operated and maintained in accordance withCondition 27;"Transmission System""Water Department""Water Equipment"means lines and electrical installations,with voltage equal to or greater than 132kV usedfor transporting electricity from a ProductionFacility to sub-stations, or from ProductionFacilities to other Production Facilities, or fromsub-stations to other sub-stations, or to or fromany Interconnector, Premises, or DistributionSystem and any Electric Plant used for thepurposes of Dispatch;means, any major division or sub-divisionresponsible for Related Water including theMinistry of Housing, Electricity and Water or otherCompetent Authority;means any installations, water mains, andother water installations forming part of aProduction Facility; andOman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC Licence 1-May-2005 Page - 15 -
