"Distribution Code""Distribution Licence""Distribution System""Economic Purchase"means the code which each LicensedDistribution System Operator shall be required toprepare and maintain pursuant to the terms of itsDistribution Licence, which code shall be subjectto the approval of the Authority, shall prescribestandard technical rules to be observed for theConnection to use and operation of that LicensedDistribution System Operator's System, and rulesfor the maintenance and development of thatSystem;means a Licence to Distribute electricity;means electrical lines and apparatus ofless than 132kV used for the transport ofelectricity to Premises and that are not part of aTransmission System that are not part of it;means the purchase on the best economicterms reasonably obtainable, having regard toquality, quantity, the nature of the things to bepurchased, the available manner of delivery andthe future security, reliability and diversity ofsupply of the things to be purchased;"Electricity Holding Company SAOC” means the Company of that name referredto in Article (63) of the Sector Law;“Electric Line”means any line, whether underground orover ground, which is used to transport orDistribute electricity for any purpose and includes,unless the context otherwise requires:(a)(b)(c)Any support for any such line, includingany structure, pole, pylon or other thing in,on, by or from which any such line issupported, carried or suspended;Any apparatus connected to any such linefor the purpose of carrying or Distributingelectricity;Any wire, cable, tube, pipe or other similarthing (including its casing, insulator orcoating) which surrounds or supports anysuch line, or is surrounded or supportedby, carried or suspended, in associationwith, any such line.Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC Licence 1-May-2005 Page - 9 -
