5. The Licensee shall, as soon as practicable after the date upon which this Licence isgranted and in any event not later than such date as the <strong>Authority</strong> shall specify indirections issued to the Licensee <strong>for</strong> the purposes of this Condition and from time to timethereafter, submit to the <strong>Authority</strong> <strong>for</strong> its approval:(a)(b)details of the Licensee's proposals <strong>for</strong> complying with the obligation referred to inparagraph 2 above;details of its proposals <strong>for</strong> the security standards which are to apply <strong>for</strong> theLicensee's <strong>Transmission</strong> System during the period from the date on which thisLicence was granted to the date upon which the Licensee shall be obliged, inaccordance with paragraph 2, to apply and comply with <strong>Transmission</strong> SecurityStandard.6. The Licensee shall make arrangements sufficient to meet the security standardsprepared and approved pursuant to paragraph 5(b) and the <strong>Transmission</strong> SecurityStandard.7. Without prejudice to the generality of the <strong>for</strong>egoing, the Licensee shall:(a)(b)plan and develop its <strong>Transmission</strong> System in accordance with the <strong>Transmission</strong>Security Standard and the Grid Code and such other standards of planning asthe Licensee may, following consultation (where appropriate) with any LicenceHolder and/or any other Person who is a party to the Grid Code liable to bematerially affected thereby and with the approval of the <strong>Authority</strong>, adopt fromtime to time;operate and maintain an efficient and economic <strong>Transmission</strong> System inaccordance with the <strong>Transmission</strong> Security Standard and the Grid Code andsuch other standards of operation and maintenance as the Licensee may,following consultation (where appropriate) with any Licence Holder and/or anyother Person who is a party to the Grid Code liable to be materially affectedthereby and with the approval of the <strong>Authority</strong>, adopt from time to time.8. The Licensee shall within 6 months of the date upon which this Licence is granted, drawup and submit to the <strong>Authority</strong> <strong>for</strong> its approval a statement setting out criteria by whichthe per<strong>for</strong>mance of the Licensee in developing, operating and maintaining a safe,secure, efficient and economical <strong>Transmission</strong> System may be measured. Thisstatement shall include the following:(a)(b)frequency excursions beyond permitted limits;voltage excursions beyond permitted limits;<strong>Oman</strong> <strong>Electricity</strong> <strong>Transmission</strong> <strong>Company</strong> SAOC Licence 1-May-2005 Page - 42 -
