PART II: GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE LICENCECondition 1: GeneralThe Conditions set out in this Part II shall apply to the Licensed Activities listed in paragraph 4 ofPart I.Condition 2: Prohibited activities and cross-ownership1. The Licensee shall not and shall procure that any Affiliate of the Licensee shall not on itsown account (or that of the Licensee or of any Affiliate of the Licensee, as the case maybe):(a)engage in the Generation of electricity; or(b)(c)purchase or otherwise acquire electricity for the purpose of sale or otherdisposition to third parties; orengage in the Distribution or Supply of electricity to any Premises; or(d)without the prior written consent of the Authority, hold any economic interest,whether direct or indirect, in any other Person who undertakes a RegulatedActivity,in each case in the Sultanate of Oman and, unless the Authority gives its prior consentthereto, in any other country which has an electrical system which is Interconnected withthe Total System provided that, neither the Government nor any entity which is Whollyownedby the Government shall be treated as an Affiliate of the Licensee for thepurposes of this Condition 2.2. The Licensee shall not, without the prior written consent of the Authority, carry on anyactivities other than the Licensed Activities or those other activities necessarily ancillarythereto.3.
