Condition 25: Charges for Connection to and use of the Licensee's System1. The Licensee shall:(a)as soon as practicable and in any event within 3 months after the date uponwhich this Licence is granted, prepare statements in relation to the Licensee'sTransmission System in such form as shall have been approved by theAuthority, setting out the basis upon which the charges for each of:(i)(ii)Connection to the Licensee's Transmission System; anduse of the Licensee's Transmission System,will be made, with such detail as shall be necessary to enable any Person tomake a reasonable estimate of the charges to which he would become liable forthe provision of any such service and (without prejudice to the foregoing)including the information set out in paragraphs 2 or 3 below, as appropriate;(b)(c)update the statements referred to in paragraphs (a)(i) and (a) (ii) above annuallyor as may otherwise be required by the Authority from time to time; andensure that the statements prepared as provided at paragraphs (a)(i) and (a)(ii),any updates thereof prepared in accordance with paragraph (b) and the chargesto which each of those statements and/or updates refer are consistent in allrespects with the provisions of Schedule 2.2. The statement referred to in paragraph 1(a)(i) shall include:(a)(b)(c)a schedule listing those items (including the carrying out of works and theprovision and installation of Electric Lines or meters (as appropriate)) liable to berequired for the purpose of Connection (at entry or exit points) to the Licensee'sTransmission System for which Connection charges may be made or levied andincluding (where practicable) indicative charges for each such item and (in othercases) an explanation of the methods by which and the principles on which suchcharges will be calculated;the methods by which and the principles on which any charges will be made inrespect of extension or reinforcement of the Licensee's Transmission Systemrendered (in the Licensee's discretion) necessary or appropriate by virtue ofproviding Connection to or use of System to any Person seeking Connection;the methods by which and the principles on which Connection charges will bemade in circumstances where the Electric Lines or other plant (as appropriate) tobe installed are (at the Licensee's discretion) of greater size or capacity than thatrequired for use of System by the Person seeking Connection;Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC Licence 1-May-2005 Page - 39 -
