How have the activities contributed to income generation and job creation? In the current time frame of the project, there has been insufficient time to measure anycontributions to income and job creation. Given that the demonstrations have indicated thepotential for increases in yields, an assumption can be made that continued increases will lead toincreasing incomes. However, much depends on the changes in cost of production that the newtechnologies entail and the results of efforts to develop more efficiency in the marketing system.Cost of production and project revenues for the various fruit crops indicate that incomes willincrease with the adoption of the new technologies. However, the project has no historical datawith which to compare these data. The participating farmers seem to feel that the revenues fromthese technologies are significant.Evaluation of the USAID/Kosovo SME 121 May 2004and Agriculture/Agribusiness ProgramsVolume I
