TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUTINGWith respect to municipalities and boroughs, active transportation is particularly popular with commuters who workin such central high-population and high-employment density boroughs as Ville-Marie, Le Plateau Mont-Royal,Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie and Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.Differences in active-transportation figures between the Montréal agglomeration and the other Greater Montréalsectors are smaller than those for public transit. In 2006, the percentage of active transportation for the Montréalagglomeration was 10%; in the Longueuil agglomeration, 6%; and in Laval and on the North and South Shores,4%.
