Porrhomma campbelli F. 0. P. - Cambridge(Araneae, Linyphiidae) in Norway.Per F. W aalerKristins vei 30. OsloIn a small collection of spiders, given to the writer by J. A.Sneli, Zoological Museum, University of Oslo, from the Svartisenglacier, Nordrana (Nsi 32), a female Porrlzomma is of specialinterest.As the genus Porrhomma is considered to be a very difficultgroup (Miller and Kratochvil 1940, p. 161), the writer sent thespecimen to Hans Kauri, University of Bergen. He kindly identifiedthe spider as P. campbelli F.0.P.-Cambridge.This spider, partly a cave-dweller, has been found previouslyin England and Ireland, where it is very rare. Isolated specimenshave been found under stones, and in a mole's nest (Locket andMillidge 1953, p. 333).At a later date its occurrence was also reported (Miller andKratochvil 1940) from a cave in Belgium.Thus, the specimen from the Svartisen glacier is the firstrecorded occurrence of P. campbelli jn Scandinavia.ReferencesLOCKET, G.
