substance, when it is removed from the establishment.35:37-<strong>11</strong>-1<strong>37.</strong> Pesticide chemicals and other residues in products(a) Residues of pesticide chemicals, food additives and coloradditives, and other substances in or on ingredients (other thanmeat, meat by-products, and meat food products) used in theformulation or products shall not exceed the levels permittedunder the Federal <strong>Food</strong>, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and nonmeatingredients must be in compliance with the requirements underthat Act.(b) Products, and products used as ingredients of products,shall not bear or contain any pesticide chemical, food additives,or color additives, or color additive residue in excess of thelevel permitted under the Federal <strong>Food</strong>, Drug, and Cosmetic Act,and the rules in this <strong>Subchapter</strong>, or any other substance that isprohibited by rules or that makes the products adulterated.(c) Instructions specifying the standards and procedures fordetermining when ingredients of finished products are incompliance with this Section shall be issued to the inspectors bythe Director. Copies of the instructions will be made availableto interested persons upon request made to the Director.35:37-<strong>11</strong>-138. Animal drug residuesAnimal drug residues are not permitted in exotic livestock andexotic livestock products except at the current permissibletolerance levels established and published as the maximum allowedlevels for food animals by the Federal <strong>Food</strong> and DrugAdministration.PART <strong>37.</strong> STANDARDS OF IDENTITY; RECORD; REGISTRATION ANDTRANSPORTATION35:37-<strong>11</strong>-139. General requirements(a) Fabricated products derived from exotic livestock or acombination of exotic livestock and other inspected species thatare ground, chopped, mixed, stuffed, formed, salted, spiced,flavored, seasoned, cooked, smoked, dried, fermented, pickled,canned, or subjected to recognized and acceptable processingmethods, and that shall be offered for sale as articles ofintrastate commerce, shall be properly labeled and identified asrequired in Part 33 of this <strong>Subchapter</strong>.(b) Therefore, all products described in Subsection (a) of thisSection shall be thoroughly evaluated by the Director before anylabel approval is granted.(c) If the products described in Subsection (a) of this Sectionare similar to products that are processed from other domesticlivestock species for which a recognized standard(s) exist, theproduct name shall then be the same as the name of the recognized
