Appendix E<strong>Deep</strong> <strong>Freeze</strong> Action Files - RDC Example| 113<strong>Deep</strong> <strong>Freeze</strong> Action FilesA <strong>Deep</strong> <strong>Freeze</strong> Action File is an XML file that allows administrators to define additionalfunctionality into the <strong>Deep</strong> <strong>Freeze</strong> <strong>Enterprise</strong> Console. An Action File defines a method for callingan external batch file and passing some information (for example, machine IP addresses,computer names) to the batch file or script.Action Files simply call an external program or script. Therefore, any scripting language that canbe called from the command line can be used.Action File ExampleThe structure of the <strong>Deep</strong> <strong>Freeze</strong> Action file that we will be using is shown below. TheDFEntConsoleCustomActions.xml is available at C:\Program Files\<strong>Faronics</strong>\<strong>Deep</strong> <strong>Freeze</strong> 7<strong>Enterprise</strong>.
