In August1991 the 700 Club aired an interview with Solomon. Introducinghis guest, Robertson described Solomon’s group as struggling togain their rightful place on the Temple Mount. “We will neverhave peace,” Robertson declared, “until the Mount of theHouse of the Lord is restored.” 56 Solomon, for his part, described his mission as embodying the promise for a universalredemption of humanity. “It’s not just a struggle for the TempleMount, it’s a struggle for the . . . redemption of the world,” hedeclared. 57The relationship between Christian evangelicals and Jewishgroups over the prospect of rebuilding the Temple has been oneof the most unexpected, if not bizarre, developments in the longhistory of Jewish–Christian relations. Dolphin worked in cooperationwith and received help from Stanley Goldfoot, an IsraeliJewish advocate of the rebuilding of the Temple. His attempts toresearch the Temple Mount to find conclusive evidence regardingthe Temple’s exact location had been frustrated by the Israelirobin-bobin
