Remote Control 3. Press any key on the front panel to return to manual control. Then press the[LOCAL] softkey.Switching to Remote ControlOn power up, the <strong>DDS2<strong>00</strong></strong> is always in the manual control mode (LOCAL state)and can be operated from the front panel. Switch over to remote control(REMOTE state) happens as soon as the <strong>DDS2<strong>00</strong></strong> receives an addressedcommand from a controller. In the remote-control mode, operation from the frontpanel is inhibited. The <strong>DDS2<strong>00</strong></strong> remains in the REMOTE state until it isswitched back to the manual control mode, either from the front panel or via theIEC/IEEE bus (see Return to <strong>Manual</strong> Control page 3–3). Switch over from themanual mode to remote control and vice versa has no effect on the instrumentsettings.Setting the DeviceAddressThe factory-set IEC/IEEE-bus address is 6. The address can be changedmanually in the SETUP \ REMOTE \ IEC625-IEEE488 menu (refer to SETUPMenu on page 2–19). Addresses between 0 and 30 can be selected.<strong>Manual</strong>ly:1. Select the SETUP \ REMOTE \ IEC625-IEEE488 menu.2. Enter the desired address.3. Terminate the address entry with [1x ENTER] key.Displays in RemoteControlThe remote-control status is indicated by the REM and LLO LEDs on theSTATE signal field.
