Manual OperationThe PRESET key enables the unit to be set to a defined default state. All theparameters or sub–ranges can be reset. The firmware update can also beobtained with this key.The HARDCOPY key prints out of the display information.Keys STO and RCL are used to store and to recall (reload) device settings.The hard keys select the different menus, which enable all the settings to becarried out.The settings are displayed and set in the menus, depending on the modeselected.DisplayThe display indicates various test results, test parameters, and configurationsettings, depending on the menu selected.The upper line always shows the titleof the selected menu.MEASURE Menu. The MEASURE menu is divided into three parts (see Figure2–7):The menu title appears in the top line.The status line is shown below the menu title. Important parameters, whichhelp to interpret the test results, are permanently displayed.The main part of the screen is used to display the test results. Parametersrelated to each other are shown in a logical sequence. Test results arecyclically refreshed; they are always up-to-date and always show the currentvalues.In the QAM demodulator mode, it is possible to display different measurementmenus. Selection is by means of soft keys displayed on the right of the screen(refer to Soft Keys on page 2–12).DDS200 Digital Demodulation System User Manual 2–9
Manual OperationFigure 2–7: MEASURE menuSetting Menus. The menu title is again displayed in the top line of these menus(see Figure 2–8). As in the MEASURE menu, a status line is displayed. In thisway, important information and measured values can be read while settingparameters.The allocation of soft keys is shown on the left in the current menu (soft keybar). If parameters can be varied by selecting soft keys, these are inserted next tothe soft keys on the screen.
