<strong>Manual</strong> OperationNumeric KeypadSelected parameters can be directly modified via the numeric keypad in contrastto the cursor keys. Enter the value with the numeric keys and confirm it with theENT key on the cursor keypad (refer to Cursor Keys on page 2–13). If acorrection is necessary during entry, the figure in front of the cursor can beerased or overwritten with the CLR key on the cursor keypad. For this purpose,the cursor can be shifted with the keys and from the end to the requiredposition.This entry facility is for making modifications that otherwise can only be madestepwise with the cursor keys.NOTE. The entry is terminated after it has been confirmed with the ENT key.Erroneous entries are rejected and do not modify the previously set value.Selecting SettingsIn most cases, settings are performed by selecting a menu via the MAINFunction hard keys. The required setting is selected by pressing the soft key nextto the corresponding soft key text on the screen. Some parameters requireadditional entries of numerals or text (see Editing Text and Numerals on page2–15).Depending on the menu, the settings can be selected in a lower menu level. Asubmenu is displayed by pressing the soft key. For example, several settings canbe directly performed in the INPUT menu. Other settings (for example, inRECEIVER ATTEN...) are carried out at a lower menu level.
