Remote ControlOptional keywords:In some command systems it is possible to insert or to omit certainkeywords. These keywords are shown in the instrument manual in squarebrackets. For compatibility with the SCPI standard, the instrument must beable to recognize the full command length. Some of the commands becomeconsiderably shorter when the optional keywords are omitted.Example:This command queries the vision/sound1/power ratio measured by the<strong>DDS2<strong>00</strong></strong>. The following command has the same effect:NOTE. An optional keyword may not be omitted if its effect is specified in moredetail by a numeric suffix.Long and short form:The keywords have a long and a short form. The keyword may be entered inshort or in long form; other abbreviations are not allowed.Example: NOTE. The short form uses uppercase characters; the long form gives the wholekeyword. Uppercase and lowercase letters are only used for identification in theinstrument manual; the instrument does not differentiate between the two typesof characters.Parameter:The parameter must be separated from the header by a white space. If acommand contains several parameters, these must be separated by a comma(,).
